Takedown Tool

Use the Takedown Tool to capture the spring plug and spring on the guide rod for disassembly/assembly of your 1911/2011 pistol.

Our Takedown Tool is compatible with any 1911 or 2011 pistol with full length guide rod, standard or flat wire styles.  There must be a hole with a diameter of at least 1/16″ in the guide rod for insertion of the tool.

Lock the slide to the rear, insert the tool into the hole in the guide rod.  That’s it!  The guide rod, recoil spring, and spring plug come out as one piece, making disassembly and reassembly easy.

Made from Stainless Steel to resist oxidation.  A great item to include in your range bag for easy takedown at the range or a shooting match.
