The slide rail micrometer is a precision tool used to measure the slide and frame rails during the fitting process.

Easy to use!

Especially made for the gunsmith to measure 1911 and 2011 frame and slide rail thickness without interference.  It is not necessary to modify (and possibly ruin) this tool to fit as it is with an off-the-shelf can seam micrometer.  Take measurements anywhere on the slide and frame rails right out of the box!

Accurate

• Measure the frame and slide rail heights accurately to .001″ (less if you read between the marks).
• Assure a perfect fit for the pistol you build.  You can achieve a fit that is as tight or loose as you want it.
• Using this tool, you determine the tightness of the fit,  you determine the amount of material to remove from your rails.
• Works equally well on 1911 or 2011 style pistol slide and frame rails.
