1911/2011 Sear Spring
Colt Sear Spring
Reduces the trigger pull approximately 1.5lb while maintaining a safe spring pressure. If the hammer begins to follow after installation of this spring, the hammer/sear engagement is incorrect and should be repaired.
Wolff
Made from the finest spring steel and correctly tempered for long service life. Uniform thickness throughout the entire spring for consistent tension on both the sear and disconnector. Maintains constant tension without taking a set. Great for building a pistol from scratch or to return your pistol to factory spec. Properly tuned, this sear spring can give a sub-2 lb. trigger pull on any competition pistol.
EGW Evolved 1911
The EGW Evolved 1911 Spring has been quietly in the works for some time. EGW is known for improving on original designs. They have come up with a fix to combat the typical issues associated with other springs.
Sometimes, 1911 frames can be a bit out of spec. One of the more common issues is the slot cut lower than it should be. This can cause the spring to not fully engage on the sear. Many springs currently on the market are not long enough to address this issue. This spring is over .030″ longer on the left finger to accommodate frames that encounter this issue.
Above Image Details:
Detail A – The left side of the spring has a relief cut to allow for the spring to move without contacting or rubbing on the frame. This ensures a smoother, crisper trigger pull.
Detail B – Sear pad on the left leaf is less than 1/2 the size and weight than other springs, thus reducing the weight for recoil or inertia to act upon.
Detail C – Center and right side leaves are 5% narrower to reduce weight and increase feel.
Detail D – The disconnector pad on the center leaf is smaller than other springs to reduce weight, while still retaining the standard contact.
Please Note – We do not glass bead or sandblast the sears after heat treat. The heat treating process leaves the springs with a spotty finish. This is not rust and does not affect performance in any way.
For 1911 and 2011 pistols.
